MODERN MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS: FIELDS AND PARTICLES
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The research group investigates the mathematical features of quantum mechanics and quantum field theories as well as the theoretical aspects of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics.
The main focus is on the derivation of rigorous mathematical results and their application to study complex physical phenomena ranging from meso- to microscopic scales.
The mathematical framework, within which our research is carried out, includes investigation tools like partial differential equations (PDE) and integro-differential equations, operator theory, nonlinear functional analysis.
