Estimation of the state of a finite level quantum system.

We shall look at the problem of mutually unbiased measurements in the context of estimating the unknown state of a d-level quantum system and
give a new proof of a theorem of Wooters and Fields by exploiting the Weyl commutation relations in a finite Galois field.
