Abstract
Atmospheric convection, often associated with moisture and clouds, often happens at the scales much smaller than those resolve by global forecast and climate-projection models. Usually, a parametric representation (so-called parameterization ) of this process is attempted. The most typical approach is mass flux .
This presentation focuses on this mass-flux based parameterization of convection.
