The second meeting of the project ``Securing safe drinking water distribution'' SafeCREW (https://safecrew.org/), funded by the European Union within the Horizon Europe program, took place in Milan on 10, 11 and 12th May. SafeCREW aims to develop tools and guidelines for disinfected and non-disinfected drinking water supply systems; the project focuses on disinfection process, its consequences, the minimization of disinfectant dosages and the formation of disinfection by-products.SafeCREW partnership includes 11 European organizations in Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and Spain. Politecnico di Milano brings in SafeCREW multidisciplinary skills in environmental engineering, chemistry, statistics and machine learning from four departments: DICA (prof. Manuela Antonelli), DCMC (prof. Carlo Punta), DMAT (prof. Ilenia Epifani) and DEIB (prof. Francesco Trovò).
