The Department of Mathematics at Politecnico di Milano has confirmed its position among the world’s top institutions, ranking 38th globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, the international ranking that evaluates universities by discipline.
At the national level, it retains 1st place for the fifth consecutive year, while ranking 12th in Europe.
This year, DMAT stands out in an increasingly competitive landscape: the 2026 edition of the ranking evaluated over 6,200 universities, classifying nearly 2,000 of them—significantly more than in 2022.
