Mathematical Engineering graduates: 97% employed within one year of graduation
93% find a job within six months, with an average net salary of €2,282 per month
Politecnico di Milano’s employment survey confirms a fast and well-matched entry into the job market for graduates with a Master’s degree in Mathematical Engineering: 97% are employed within one year of graduation, and 93% found a job within six months of completing their degree.
The average net monthly salary stands at €2,282. All graduates (100%) are employed as salaried workers, and 66% secured a permanent contract, followed by 13% on fixed-term contracts and 8% in apprenticeships.
Looking at company size, 60% of graduates work at organizations with more than 1,000 employees, reflecting strong placement in large, structured companies. A third of Italian graduates (33%) work abroad.
IT consulting (17%) and management consulting (14%) remain the top employment sectors, followed by banking and financial/insurance services (12%) and scientific research and development (7%). In terms of skills, over half of graduates (53%) work in design/engineering roles, while 31% work in information systems and 25% in logistics and supply chain.
